By becoming a part of Heartbeat’s Circle of Friends, you can contribute to this worthy cause.

THE ROLE OF FRIENDS OF HEARTBEAT

It costs nothing to be part of Heartbeat’s Circle of Friends! But we would love to have your time, skills and passion for orphans and vulnerable children, which enables Heartbeat to reach our goal of alleviating the suffering of these children. As a Friend of Heartbeat you are invited to attend and participate in the Annual General Meeting where you will have voting powers. Please remember that we must have “50% plus one” of our friends present at an AGM in order to reach a quorum (minimum number of voter required for ‘valid transaction of business’), and your attendance at our AGM is therefore vital. >>Click here<< for "Heartbeat Circle of Friends" Application form.

Emergency Fund

The purpose of the Heartbeat Emergency Fund is to provide relief for orphans who are facing emergencies or crises. When Heartbeat staff identify such cases, they send a request for Emergency Funds to the head office in Pretoria. The request is then assessed, and if determined to be a real crisis, funds are made available from the emergency fund. Emergency Funds are mostly used in cases of natural disasters (including fires and floods), break-ins and loss of property, as well as loss of life.

When children in child-headed households die, siblings very seldom have the means to burry their brother or sister. Heartbeat then uses money from the emergency fund to ensure that our children receive a dignified burrial when they pass away.

Individuals who are interested in contributing towards Heartbeat's Emergency Fund, can deposit funds in the following account:
