Heartbeat has a TEF (Tertiary Education Fund) through which we create opportunities for orphans in our programmes to continue with their tertiary education. This fund is assessed annually, together with the number of Grade 12 graduates in Heartbeat’s programmes that wish to continue their Tertiary Education. Based on academic merit, funds available and partnerships secured, the TEF then enables orphans to secure a brighter future for them through tertiary education. |
Heartbeat will provide you with information and news on all the TEF students’ progress through a newsletter. Upon your request, Heartbeat can issue a tax exemption certificate for your contribution to the TEF. Such a certificate would be emailed to you. |

A specific child in Heartbeat’s programme is assigned to you. You receive basic information on this child, including a photograph, and your contribution will ensure that 6 basic services reach this child. |
You will receive (via email) a personalized profile on the child assigned to you. This profile will include a photograph and basic information on the child, his family and the community where he/she lives. All communication between the child and the sponsor will be conducted through Heartbeat’s SACIN department ie. Kidz up forms and Thank you letters. Upon your request, Heartbeat can issue a tax exemption certificate for your contribution towards the SACIN programmes. Such a certificate would be emailed to you. |

This option equals a combination of the Bronze and Silver options above. You do get a specific orphan assigned to you and you ensure that basic services reach this child. You also contribute towards the TEF and ensure that children in Heartbeat’s programmes have a chance at a brighter future, through tertiary education. Please remember that your TEF contribution is not allocated to a specific child. |
You will receive information on the individual child you support through your SILVER Sponsorship, but also a report on your contribution to the TEF, as outlined under the BRONZE Sponsorship. |
